Should College Be High School - 1287 Words

Why does our parents urge us to go to college? After high school students can decide whether or not to go college, they are adults now are they not? Either decision made, high school graduates would need a job to have the income heading their way so that they can experience the joys of being an adult in the world. Of course is that student prepared to really face the world head on, to have all the impressive characteristics that makes business’s want them or have the knowledge to start their own business? Very well so to have these characteristics takes more than just a high school diploma and some volunteering hours to carry you through life. It is like Thomas Jefferson states â€Å"Knowledge is power† in his letters all connected to the†¦show more content†¦So indeed there is a solution to all the problems at hand, there just needs to be people who have the ideas and knowledge to solve them one by one at a time. According to Michael Roth, those who can imagin e how best to reconfigure existing resources and project future results â€Å"will be the shapers of our economy and culture†. Though true when universities began, their intentions was to be a school only for the wealthy and they only taught religious courses, but that was way back in the past time. We live in the present, where everyone can go to college if they please and earn the knowledge to really get by and live your life to the fullest you can and will. That with the opportunity to grasp onto what you can do with your future is completely your decision and what you decide your future is going to look like. Every person has his or her own special gifts and skills to their own abilities to the point where they fit perfectly for a profession. So in a way, one will have a goal that they wish to reach and dedicated to take it and feel accomplished in reaching that goal. Just as there is requirements for certain occupations and certain careers individuals hope to receive in his or her own future to make life so much better for themselves.
